Terms of Service

Effective date: July 10, 2026. PassMyDMV is operated by BooksAndGuidesPro. By using passmydmv.com (the “Service”) you agree to these terms.

What the Service is

PassMyDMV provides practice questions, practice exams, and study material for U.S. state driver-license written knowledge tests (car / Class D, motorcycle, and commercial / CDL). Our questions are written from each state's official driver manual and cite the manual page that explains each answer. PassMyDMV is an independent study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state Department of Motor Vehicles or licensing agency. Practice questions are not the actual questions on your official exam.

Accounts and free tier

• Creating a free account unlocks 10 free practice questions (no credit card required) and saves your progress. Practice requires an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. One account per person; accounts are not transferable.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service (scraping, automated access, resale, or sharing).

Purchases

• Paid access on the web is sold as one-time purchases only: a 7-day Cram Pass, an annual all-access pass (ends automatically after 1 year — it does not auto-renew and we do not store a card for renewal), and a lifetime pass.
• Prices are shown at checkout in USD. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
• Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and refunded by Apple or Google under their policies, not directly by us.

Pass Guarantee & refunds

Conditions — you must meet all of the following:

• The guarantee applies to purchases made on passmydmv.com (web). App-store purchases follow Apple/Google refund processes.
• Complete the question bank before your official exam. Before you sit for your official written knowledge exam, you must have correctly answered every active practice question in our database for the state and license class (or classes) covered by your purchase that match the exam you took. For all-access or lifetime plans, that means every active question for that state and class in the bank. We verify this from your account history (correct answers recorded against each question). Questions answered incorrectly do not count until you answer them correctly later.
• You must complete this requirement before the date and time of your official exam. Studying only after you fail does not qualify.
• You submit your refund request within 60 days of your purchase via the support page, telling us the state, license class, and exam date. We may ask for the failure slip or equivalent proof from your testing office.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method. One guarantee claim per customer.

Separately from the guarantee: if you bought the wrong thing or changed your mind, contact support within 7 days of purchase and, provided you haven't used substantial paid content, we'll refund you.

Acceptable use

Don't copy, scrape, republish, or resell our questions, explanations, or other content. The question bank, explanations, and site content are our copyrighted work (state driver manuals themselves are publications of their respective states).

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep questions accurate and current with each state's manual, but rules change and mistakes are possible. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Completing the question bank and passing practice tests does not guarantee you will pass the official exam (that's what the refund guarantee is for, when its conditions are met). Always rely on your state's official materials and instructions from your licensing agency.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
